Almost every article about Tadoba tells you to book Moharli or Kolara core. Both are excellent — and both book out 60–90 days ahead, especially for weekends and the March-May sighting peak.
Meanwhile, the same tiger population moves in and out of the surrounding buffer, and the buffer gates open up two to four weeks before your dates. We book both. We book buffer more, because that's what our guests actually get to see and photograph on their trip.

Five gates adjacent to the Moharli core zone. Similar teak forest, similar tiger population, similar drive routes — but each with its own character. Closer to Chandrapur (40–55 km), best for first-time visitors and shorter booking windows.
The buffer that quietly delivers. Resident tigress territory, easy booking window, classic Tadoba teak.
Wider sightlines. Meadow openings between teak — long visibility and portfolio-grade light.
Dense waterhole network. Peak-season specialist for April-May tiger concentration.
Elevation advantage. Ridge lines give sight angles you don't get elsewhere in Tadoba.
The unhurried buffer. Lowest vehicle count; sound-driven tracking through dense evergreen.

Same zone, same tigers as Pangadi. Direct substitute when Pangadi is booked out — or the smart pairing for a 2-drive plan.
Riverine corridor. Repeated movement patterns along a seasonal river course — predictable once your guide reads the week.
The corridor nobody markets. Northern edge of the zone — best as a 3rd or 4th drive in a longer trip.
Every safari operator will tell you Tadoba has tigers. We can tell you which ones — where they hunt, who tolerates whom, whose cubs are learning to hunt this month. Almost all the photographs on our home page came from this zone.
The calmest tiger in this section of the reserve. Holds a territory that overlaps with Jr. Mogli without conflict — a rare thing between adult males.
Co-exists with Mama peacefully — a signal of exceptionally high prey density in this stretch of buffer.
Established tigress with a defined territory in the Pangadi range. Frequently sighted during morning drives.
Second resident tigress in the zone. Territory partially overlaps with Ladli — you often see one when tracking the other.
Currently raising two cubs in the Pangadi range. A tigress with cubs stays close to reliable water — which makes her movement predictable.
