The gate sits about 55 km from Chandrapur and roughly 170 km from Nagpur. Sighting probability is a function of heat and water. As Chandrapur dries out, tigers concentrate at fewer waterholes, and the buffer's smaller water sources make sightings around them more reliable than in the rain-fed core.

Morning safari. Pickup from your Chandrapur or Moharli-area stay 45 minutes before gate opening. Adegaon gate opens with sunrise — around 6:00 AM in winter, closer to 5:30 in summer. The drive lasts approximately 3 to 3.5 hours, returning by 9:30–10:00 AM to a full hot breakfast at your stay.
Evening safari. Pickup around 2:30 PM for a 3:00 PM gate entry. You'll drive until closing — approximately 6:00 PM in winter, 6:30 in summer. Dinner is served at your stay after return.
What to bring. Layered clothing (cold mornings, hot afternoons — even in summer, gypsy wind chills a pre-sunrise start). Full-length sleeves and trousers in muted colours. A wide-brim hat, sunscreen, binoculars, camera with your longest lens, and plenty of water.
