Everything you need to book with confidence

For international and Indian guests alike — how payment works, answers to the questions we are asked most, and how to reach a real person.

Booking From Abroad

Who you're actually dealing with

Sending a deposit overseas to a small operator is a leap of faith. Here's what we can show you, stated plainly — and what we can't claim. If you're deciding where Tadoba fits into your India trip, see flight times from your India stop.

A registered business, not a landing page

MySafariWorld is operated by Bhargav Kapil Barman, GST-registered in Maharashtra under GSTIN 27BELPB8047N1Z0, trading as Parvatika Naturals — verifiable yourself on the Government of India GST portal. The same family also runs KR Barman & Son, a civil-works firm that has been building in this district for over 35 years, including resorts near the reserves we take you to.

A named person answers, every time

Bhargav Barman, the founder, personally answers enquiries on WhatsApp, email and phone — the numbers on this page reach him, not a queue. You'll know who you're dealing with before you've paid anything.

Our own photographs, not stock

Every wildlife photograph on this site was taken by our own photographers on real drives, mostly on the Chandrapur-side buffer routes. That's the simplest proof we're actually on this ground rather than reselling someone else's.

A public record you can check

Our work is posted publicly and continuously on Instagram at @mysafariworld_brivana and on Facebook — dated frames from the gates we actually run, going back over time. Scroll either one before you commit to anything: a years-long trail of original wildlife photography from one district is difficult to fake, and easier to verify than any badge.

Written terms before you pay

Our cancellation tiers, force-majeure terms and liability limits are published, not sent after the fact. A deposit confirms your booking; you never pay the full amount up front, and we tell you plainly which permit fees are non-refundable before you pay them.

Payment, honestly

Indian guests are invoiced in Indian Rupees and pay by bank transfer. International guests are invoiced in Indian Rupees or US Dollars and pay by international wire transfer — we send account and SWIFT details once your booking is confirmed. Currency figures shown elsewhere on this page are a reading aid only. We will never ask you to send money to a personal account.

What we don't claim

We're not an IATO member and we don't display badges we haven't earned. We're a small, owner-run operation with deep knowledge of two reserves and honest partner arrangements everywhere else — that's the whole pitch. If you need a large agency with formal industry accreditation, we'll say so rather than pretend.

A day on safari

What a safari day actually looks like

Tadoba runs two drives a day with the long midday in between. Times shift by about 30 minutes between summer and winter — the forest department sets gate opening based on sunrise. This is a representative winter day; your lodge will confirm exact times the evening before.

5:45 AM

Wake-up tea at the lodge

Masala chai or coffee brought to your room, often with biscuits. Dress in layers — mornings in winter are 8–12°C.

6:15 AM

Drive out to the gate

10–20 minutes from most lodges. Your naturalist and driver meet you at the lobby.

6:30 AM

Morning safari — gate opens

The best drive of the day. Tigers are active in the first two hours of light. 3.5 hours in the forest, water breaks in the gypsy, no exit mid-drive.

10:30 AM

Return to lodge · breakfast

Full breakfast — eggs to order, parathas, fruit, tea. Shower, download photos, review your morning.

12:30 PM

Lunch at the lodge

Buffet or plated Indian + continental. Optional village visit, naturalist talk, or pool time afterwards.

2:30 PM

Afternoon tea · depart for second drive

Afternoon drives are quieter but can be dramatic — this is when water-dependent sightings happen.

3:00 PM

Afternoon safari — gate opens

3 hours in the forest. The light turns golden around 5 PM — your best photographs come in the last hour.

6:30 PM

Return to lodge · freshen up

Hot shower, warm up by the bonfire. Many lodges serve snacks and welcome drinks here.

8:00 PM

Dinner

Multi-course Indian meal, often with a BBQ element outdoors in winter. Your naturalist reviews the day and plans tomorrow's gates with you.

Note on alcohol: most lodges serve beer and spirits in the evening at à la carte prices, not included in packages. Dress code: no bright colours in the forest — khaki, olive, grey. The lodge will provide blankets and ponchos as needed.

Tadoba Field Guide · Chandrapur Side

Ask the guide, not the internet

Search every Chandrapur-side gate, the animals that use them and the practical stuff nobody tells you. This covers the Moharli and Pangadi–Zari zones only — the Chimur-side gates are a different drive and a different answer.

Questions

Before you write to us

Is Moharli core the best zone for tiger sightings at Tadoba?+
This is the most common misconception we correct. Moharli core has the reputation — and the longest waiting list, the highest price and the most vehicles. Tadoba's buffer gates — Junona, Kesalghat, Zari-Peth, Somnath, Adegaon, Dewada — often deliver better sightings with fewer vehicles, easier permits and lower cost. Most of the photographs in our gallery were taken in the buffer, not the core. We'll recommend based on recent movement and what's actually available for your dates, not on which zone sounds most famous.
How far ahead should I book?+
Indian safari permits are limited and allocated in advance by the forest department, so 3–4 weeks ahead is sensible, and 6–8 weeks for peak season (Nov–Feb, Apr–May) or for Bandhavgarh's Tala zone. African camps, especially in the Mara and Serengeti during migration season, need considerably longer — often several months.
Are meals really included?+
On Indian stays, yes — breakfast and dinner are part of the per-night rate we quote, and it's confirmed in writing before you pay anything. African itineraries vary by camp, so meal inclusions are stated per quote rather than assumed.
Why are African prices shown as "on request"?+
Because African safari costs swing enormously with season, park fees and camp category — Masai Mara park fees alone double between low and high season. Publishing a single number would be misleading, so we quote per itinerary once we know your dates.
Can I book just one night in India?+
Yes. Every Indian stay is matched to the nearest approachable safari gate specifically so single-night stops work — you don't need to commit to a multi-night package.
Which reserve suits a first safari?+
Tell us your dates and we'll recommend based on actual zone availability rather than a stock answer. For a first trip our Tadoba and Pench knowledge is the deepest, simply because that's where we're based.
What do I need at check-in?+
A government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport or driving licence) is required at check-in across Indian reserves, per forest department rules. For African destinations you'll need a passport and the relevant visa or eTA — we'll flag the specifics for your route.

Fees — so you can pick what works for you

The quoted amount on your invoice is the amount you pay. We absorb the payment-gateway fee on domestic cards, UPI and net banking. Two notes for international guests:

UPI Zero processing fee for everyone. The cheapest option if you have an Indian UPI app.
Indian cards We absorb the ~2% gateway fee. You pay the quoted amount, nothing more.
Int'l cards (Razorpay) Pay directly in USD, GBP, EUR, AUD or CAD — select your currency at checkout and your card is charged in that currency at Razorpay's live FX rate. We absorb the ~3% gateway fee. Your card may still charge a foreign-transaction fee — check with your bank.
PayPal PayPal may add a currency-conversion margin of around 3–4% on top of the quoted amount when they convert your currency to INR. Convenient for buyer protection; costlier than Razorpay cards.
Bank transfer Zero gateway fee. Your bank may charge a wire fee (typically $25–45 from US / UK). Best for amounts above ₹1 lakh.

Rates are indicative. Write to bookings@mysafariworld.com and we'll suggest the cheapest option for your currency and card.

Pay online — card, UPI or netbanking

Secure checkout by Razorpay. Enter the exact amount from your quote.

Choose INR unless your card is foreign-issued. For USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD — the Razorpay modal will show the amount in your selected currency and your card is charged directly in that currency.
