Privacy Policy

Effective date: 30 July 2026 · Last updated: 30 July 2026

Plain-language note. This policy is written to be genuinely readable, not just legally defensible. It has been drafted with care for a safari and travel-planning business taking enquiries and bookings from guests worldwide, but it is a template, not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction — especially given data-protection rules differ across the countries our guests travel from (EU/UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act 2023, US state privacy laws, and others). We recommend having it reviewed by counsel before relying on it as your final, binding policy.

1. Who we are

MySafariWorld (operating as Brivana Experiences) is a wildlife safari planning service based in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, India, at the gates of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. It is owned and operated by Bhargav Barman ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we handle personal information belonging to visitors to mysafariworld.com and anyone who contacts us to enquire about or book a safari ("you").

2. What information we collect

We collect only what's needed to plan and confirm your safari. Depending on how you reach us, this may include:

  • Contact details — name, phone number, email address, WhatsApp number, country of residence.
  • Travel details — preferred dates, number of travellers, destinations of interest, budget range, dietary or accessibility needs you choose to share.
  • Communication history — the messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone, or email, so we can pick up the conversation accurately.
  • Payment-related information — if a booking proceeds, details needed to process payment or a deposit. We do not store full card numbers; payments are handled through your bank, UPI provider, or a payment processor, not on our website.

3. How we collect it

Our enquiry form is a WhatsApp hand-off: when you fill it in and submit, it opens WhatsApp with your message pre-filled, and the information reaches us only once you choose to send it from your own WhatsApp account. We do not receive anything from that form unless you complete that step. We also receive information directly when you call, email, or message us.

At the time of writing, mysafariworld.com does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies to monitor your visit. If that changes — for example, if we add analytics to understand which pages are useful — we will update this section and, where legally required, ask for your consent first.

4. Why we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and put together a safari itinerary or quote.
  • To coordinate your booking with resorts, lodges, drivers, guides, and — where required — forest department permit systems.
  • To communicate with you before, during, and after your trip (confirmations, changes, on-ground support).
  • To keep records required for our own accounting, tax, and legal obligations.
  • With your separate consent, to send you occasional updates about safari availability or offers. You can opt out at any time by telling us so on WhatsApp or by email.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Who we share it with

We share the minimum information necessary with:

  • Resorts, homestays, and lodges you'll be staying at, so they can prepare for your arrival.
  • Drivers, naturalists, and local guides coordinating your safari drives.
  • Forest department or reserve authorities, where permit applications legally require your identity details.
  • Payment processors or your bank, only for the purpose of completing a payment you've initiated.
  • Professional advisors (accountant, lawyer) where necessary for our own compliance.

We do not share your information with anyone else without telling you, unless we're legally required to (for example, a lawful request from a government authority).

7. International visitors & cross-border transfer

We take bookings from guests around the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, and the UAE. Because our business is based in India, information you share with us is generally stored and processed in India, and may be transferred there if you contact us from elsewhere. Where your local law (such as UK/EU GDPR) requires additional safeguards for this kind of transfer, we aim to apply reasonable, appropriate protections and are happy to discuss specifics on request.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as reasonably needed to deliver your trip, handle any after-trip questions, and meet our own accounting and legal record-keeping obligations — typically no longer than a few years after your trip unless we're required to keep records for longer, or you ask us to delete your information sooner (see your rights below).

9. Cookies & tracking

mysafariworld.com does not currently set cookies or use third-party tracking scripts. If this changes, we will update this policy and add a cookie notice with clear choices before any non-essential cookie is set.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal reason we may need to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing (EU/UK/EEA residents).
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for example, the ICO in the UK, or your national EU supervisory authority) if you believe we've mishandled your information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 14 below. We'll respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.

11. Security

We take reasonable, practical steps to protect the information you share with us — for example, keeping business communications on official channels and limiting who has access to booking details. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we do not treat your information carelessly.

12. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults arranging travel, including on behalf of families and children joining a safari. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and enquiries should be made by a parent, guardian, or another responsible adult.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add new tools to the website or our booking process changes. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. We encourage you to check back if you have an ongoing enquiry with us.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it — one message.
