1. About us
MySafariWorld (operating as Brivana Experiences) is a wildlife safari planning service owned and operated by Bhargav Barman, based in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, India ("we", "us", "our"). We plan and coordinate private safaris across Indian reserves and select African destinations on behalf of guests worldwide ("you", "guest").
2. Acceptance of these terms
By enquiring about, requesting a quote for, or confirming a safari booking with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you're booking on behalf of a group or family, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for everyone travelling in that party.
3. Bookings & confirmation
An enquiry or quote is not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only once we have:
- Agreed an itinerary and price with you in writing (WhatsApp, email, or equivalent), and
- Received the deposit or payment specified for that booking.
Where a stay includes meals, breakfast and dinner are included in the quoted per-night rate as confirmed in writing before payment, consistent with what's stated on our website at the time of your booking.
4. Payment, fees & taxes
Prices are quoted per itinerary and may be shown in Indian Rupees or another currency for your convenience; the amount actually charged depends on the payment method and any conversion applied by your bank or payment provider, which we do not control. We do not store full card details — payments are made directly through your bank, UPI, or a payment processor. A deposit is typically required to confirm permits and accommodation, with the balance due before or on arrival as agreed in your booking confirmation.
4.1 What we are, and what we are not
We act as a booking facilitator and travel arranger. We are not a government body and we do not issue safari permits. Safari permits for Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve are issued by the Maharashtra Forest Department through its own official booking portal, at rates the department sets. We are not an agent of the Forest Department, and nothing we say should be read as an official statement on its behalf.
4.2 Government fees are collected on your behalf, at cost
Where we book a safari for you, the permit fee, vehicle fee and guide fee are paid to the Forest Department at the official rate and passed through to you unchanged. We add no margin to them, and we do not describe any charge of our own as a permit, ticket or forest fee. These amounts are shown as a separate line on your quotation and invoice, and you are welcome to verify them against the Forest Department's published rates.
You are entitled to book your own safari permits directly on the official portal. If you prefer to do that and use us only for other parts of your trip, tell us and we will arrange it that way.
4.3 Our own charge
Our charge is a separate booking and facilitation service — checking availability, advising on gates, securing the permit, coordinating your drive, and supporting you before and during the trip. It is quoted separately, shown separately on the invoice, and does not vary with the size of the government fee. Applicable Goods and Services Tax is charged on our service in accordance with prevailing law and is shown separately on the invoice. Where required, our GST registration number appears on every invoice we issue.
4.4 Package bookings
Where you book a package that combines accommodation, safaris, transfers and coordination, the price may be quoted as a single figure rather than itemised, and the tax treatment applicable to such packages under prevailing law will apply. We will tell you before you pay whether you are buying a package or separate services, because the two are priced and taxed differently.
4.5 Beware of anyone selling permits outside the official system
The Forest Department has cautioned visitors against paying charges above the official rate and against websites purporting to sell gypsy bookings outside its own portal. We agree with that guidance. If any quotation from us is ever unclear about which part is a government fee and which part is our charge, ask us and we will break it down in writing.
5. Cancellations, changes & refunds
Because safari permits are allocated in advance by forest departments and lodges hold rooms exclusively for confirmed guests, cancellations affect real costs on our side. Unless otherwise agreed in writing for your specific booking:
| Notice before arrival | Typical refund of amount paid |
|---|---|
| 30+ days | Full refund, less any non-refundable permit or lodge fees already paid on your behalf |
| 15–29 days | 50% of amount paid |
| Less than 15 days, or no-show | Non-refundable |
Date changes requested more than 15 days before arrival will be accommodated where possible, subject to permit and lodge availability. Some third-party fees (forest permits in particular) are non-refundable and non-transferable once issued, regardless of notice period — we will always tell you plainly when a fee we're collecting falls into this category before you pay it.
Where these tiers don't apply. They exist to cover costs we've genuinely already committed on your behalf, not to penalise you. So:
- If we cancel, or can't provide what was confirmed, you get a full refund of everything paid to us — including our own charges — or a rearranged trip, whichever you prefer.
- If the reserve closes, permits are cancelled by the forest department, or travel becomes impossible through no fault of yours, we refund everything we can recover and charge nothing of our own on top.
- If you cancel for a serious medical emergency or bereavement, tell us. We'll refund whatever we can still recover from lodges and waive our own charge. This is discretionary, but we have never applied it meanly.
- Refunds due are paid within 10 working days to the account you paid from.
Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
6. Permits, forest department rules & force majeure
Safari access depends on rules set by government forest departments and reserve authorities, which can change with little notice — including gate closures, quota changes, or reserve closures for monsoon, conservation reasons, or public health measures. We are not responsible for changes made by these authorities, but we will do our best to rearrange your safari (a different gate, date, or reserve) where a change affects your booking.
We are also not liable for delay, cancellation, or additional cost caused by events outside our reasonable control — extreme weather, natural disaster, strikes, civil unrest, epidemic or pandemic measures, or similar force majeure events.
7. Wildlife & outdoor activity — assumption of risk
A wildlife safari takes place in a natural, uncontrolled environment. Sightings, animal behaviour, and proximity to wildlife can never be guaranteed or predicted, by us or by anyone. By booking a safari with us, you acknowledge and accept that:
- Wildlife is unpredictable, and being in its habitat carries inherent risk that cannot be fully eliminated even with an experienced guide and vehicle.
- Roads, terrain, and weather in reserve areas can be rough, remote, and subject to sudden change.
- You will follow the safety instructions of your guide, driver, and forest department staff at all times, including staying inside the vehicle where instructed.
- We arrange transport, permits, guiding, and accommodation, but we do not control the wildlife itself, and cannot promise specific sightings.
Guests join safari activities at their own risk, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that all guests, especially those travelling internationally, take out comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical treatment, evacuation, and personal belongings, valid for wildlife/outdoor activities and for the full duration of your trip.
9. Guest conduct
We expect guests to follow reserve rules (noise, distance from animals, no feeding wildlife, no littering) and to treat guides, drivers, lodge staff, and other guests with respect. We reserve the right to end a safari or stay without refund where a guest's conduct puts safety, wildlife, or other people at serious risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid us for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for missed sightings, for weather, or for the acts of independent third parties (lodges, permit authorities, transport operators) beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence.
11. Photography & image use
Photographs on this website are the original work of our own photographers, credited individually, and are not stock imagery. If we take photographs of guests during a safari for our own promotional use, we will ask before publishing anything that identifies you.
12. Third-party suppliers
Lodges, resorts, drivers, and local guides we work with are independent operators, not our employees. We select them carefully, but their own terms and conduct are ultimately their responsibility, not ours, except where we have been negligent in selecting or briefing them.
13. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will ordinarily be dealt with by the courts at Chandrapur, Maharashtra.
This does not take away any right you already have. If you are a consumer in India, nothing here prevents you from approaching the consumer commission for the district where you live, work or where you paid us, as the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 allows. If you are a consumer elsewhere, nothing here removes protections that the mandatory law of your own country gives you. We would rather settle a complaint directly and quickly — see the grievance contact below — than have either of us in a forum at all.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force for your booking is the one published at the time you made your payment. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most current version.
15. Complaints & grievance officer
If something goes wrong, tell us first — most problems are fixed faster by a phone call than by anything formal.
