Field journal

From the ground, in our own frames

Dated notes from the gates we book, and the photographers who shoot them.

Field Notes

Dispatches from the ground

Short, dated notes from our own drives and the gates we work — not a brochure, just what's actually true this month.

July 2026Monsoon · Buffer

Core closed, buffer still running

Moharli and Khutwanda core are shut for the monsoon, as every year. Several of our buffer gates on the Pangadi–Zari side stay open through the season — if you're travelling in the next few weeks, we'll route you there rather than tell you to wait.

July 2026Keslaghat · Zari Peth

Why we keep sending guests to this stretch

Two tolerant resident males sharing one territory without conflict is unusual for Tadoba, and it's still holding. Combined with the breeding females on the same routes, this remains the calmest, least crowded ground we book.

June 2026Gallery

Fresh frames from the buffer drives

Fresh frames from the last few drives — collared males on the buffer routes, a mud-pool sighting, and a kingfisher over the stream — have gone into the gallery below rather than a separate portfolio. It's the same ground you'd actually be driven through.

Meet The Photographers

Behind every frame

Behind every unforgettable wildlife moment is somebody who has spent a great many hours in these forests waiting for it.
